WHAT YOU WILL DO?
For our rapidly expanding office in Zurich, we are looking for a Financial Director with a focus on Treuhand services for our Corporate and Private Clients team. The Financial Director will report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with the Corporate and Private Client team members locally to assist our clients with accounting and tax compliance matters.The role is hands-on and service-oriented, typical of a Treuhand environment, and involves working with a wide range of Swiss and international clients. The Financial Director is expected to continuously develop both personally as well as professionally and contribute to our office.
Main responsibilities are:
Manage and review financial administrations for our corporate and private clients;
Prepare annual, monthly, and quarterly reporting for our clients;
Prepare and file divers tax declarations;
Act as Client Relationship Manager by actively maintaining relationships with senior staff at client;
Arranging and participating in client, board and shareholders meetings;
Mentor, train, guide and motivate junior, medior and senior financial account managers and act as sounding board;
Handle payroll preparation;
Set up and maintain financial administrations, databases, and other reporting systems;
Monitor client company transactions;
Ensure close collaboration with auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, notaries, and other external parties to gather the required information for reporting purposes;
Oversee ongoing compliance reviews, as manage and coordinate operational processes;
Represent Trustmoore at conferences and networking events and participate actively in business development activities;
Willing to take on personal directorships;
Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks appropriate to the role and business requirements.
HOW DO YOU FIT IN THE TEAM?
The Financial Director needs to manage ad-hoc activities in addition to regular tasks. In this position, you need to prioritize what is important and have a hands-on, flexible, and service-minded work mentality. You are proactive, know what you are capable of, possess excellent communication skills, and are not afraid of asking questions.
Other relevant qualifications for this profile:
Experience in a Treuhand environment and SRO/compliance;
Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
7 - 10 years of relevant work experience in similar function(s);
Fluency in spoken and written English and German is required;
A minimum of 2 years team leadership experience;
Outstanding organizational and people management abilities;
Experience working with Infoniqa One 50 (previously Sage), Xero and/or other accounting software is a plus;
Residing in Switzerland;
In-depth understanding of the company’s operations and those of our clients;
Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting and divers tax regulations and tax compliance;
Knowledge of Swiss GAAP is a must;
Good social and communication skills;
Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude;
Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to work both independently and as part of an international and multicultural team.
