WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Junior Fund Accountant (JFA), you are part of an assigned client team and work closely with the (Junior) Legal Account Managers and Financial Account Managers to continuously exceed our client’s expectations. The JFA will report to the Managing Director of Fund Services Curaçao and is responsible for a wide range of administrative and financial tasks for a growing portfolio of private equity, real estate and hedge funds, and SPVs. The JFA is expected to continuously develop personally and professionally, deliver added value to all our disciplines and contribute to the further growth of our office.
Main responsibilities are:
- Building and maintaining solid relationships with your direct contacts at our clients.
- Preparation of quarterly NAVs, annual financial statements, and regulatory reporting.
- Analyzing financial data to create client specific reporting.
- Management of bank accounts and handling of client payment instructions.
- Maintaining close contact with auditors, depositories and other external parties.
- Supporting onboarding new clients, mainly private equity and private debt funds.
- Organizing tasks to ensure timely and accurate reporting to our clients.
- Performing miscellaneous finance and administrative tasks appropriate to the role and business requirements.

As a Junior Fund Accountant, you must manage ad hoc activities next to your daily work. In this position, you need to prioritize what is important and have a hands on, flexible, service minded work mentality. You are proactive, know what you are capable of, possess excellent communication skills, and are not afraid of asking questions.
Other qualifications:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or an equivalent.
- A maximum of 2 years of experience in fiduciary/corporate services.
- Fluent in English (both orally and in writing).
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Entrepreneurial business focus and problem solving attitude.
- Self motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work on multiple issues, change priorities and organize workload.
- Quality focused, business-minded and able to deliver excellent service to our clients.
