WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Financial Account Manager - Fund Services (FAM), you will work closely with fund specialists and legal and accounting colleagues to continuously exceed our client's expectations. In this position, you will work in a team with a predominantly private capital fund structure portfolio. You will be responsible for various administrative and financial responsibilities in our growing portfolio of SPVs. Additionally, you will be the point of contact for your clients for all administrative and financial tasks, such as bookkeeping, periodic reporting, preparing statutory financial reports, and promoting our client centric operating model.
- Managing a client portfolio and being the first point of contact for our clients, client’s accountants and (tax) advisers regarding all financial and tax responsibilities;
- Setting up and maintaining financial administrations, including, but not limited to, preparation and review of monthly and quarterly reports, including analysis of variances, cash flows and working capital reports;
- Preparing statutory annual financial statements (Dutch GAAP/ IFRS);
- Managing local audit process and resolving audit queries to ensure that audits are completed on time and within budget;
- Preparing VAT and CIT fillings in collaboration with external advisers;
- Cash management, including management of bank accounts and payment instructions;
- Monitoring transactions of our client and their structures;
- Client relationship management by maintaining relationships with your client’s operational staff. Including participating in and preparing client meetings;
- Maintaining an organized work plan to ensure timely and accurate completion of agreed deliverables;
- Maintaining close contact with auditors, (tax) advisors, lawyers, notaries, banks, custodians, brokers and other external parties; and
- Performing miscellaneous finance and administrative tasks appropriate to the role and business requirements.
HOW DO YOU FIT INTO THE TEAM?
As a FAM, you work closely with team members of various levels and can manage ad-hoc activities, intensive client contact and your daily work.
In this position, you need to prioritize what is essential, have a hands-on and independent work mentality and be able to deal with stress. Having a helicopter view is critical since you are responsible for financial processes and reporting deadlines for a portfolio of clients and structures. You are proactive, know what you are capable of and possess good communication and organizational skills.
Other relevant qualifications for this profile:
- Bachelor / Master in Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent;
- Residing in the Netherlands;
- 3 to 5 years experience in (fund) accounting within the financial or corporate services industry;
- Knowledge of accounting standards (Dutch GAAP and IFRS);
- Knowledge of tax and compliance aspects is highly desirable;
- Fluent in Dutch and English (verbal and written);
- Self motivated and able to work independently and as a part of a team; and
- Strong sense of responsibility.
